This one hour intensive survey of your home conducted right before guests arrive is guaranteed to identify and resolve dozens of small issues that your guests will be sure to notice. Much like the pre flight check before take off on an aircraft, preparing a home for a guests dream vacation is much easier when your guests are not in it and it’s not in the air!
There are many aspects to hosting a luxury home that standard housekeeping services does not touch on or provide. These are wide ranging and almost endless depending on your guests, the season, and the housekeeping company you use. Rest assured, a remote control that is low on batteries and not functioning can get you a phone call at 10:30 pm.
Being able to resolve issues for your guests quickly and efficiently will ensure they have the best possible experience and give you glowing reviews as a home host. A few of the checks we perform every pre guest inspection are listed below and are some of the more common issues home owners are contacted about by guests.

Here is a list of some of the items we check for during our Pre Flight inspections and are some of the more common complaints from guests.
- 1. Garbage has been cleared and taken off site by garbage company.
- 2. All TV and cable remotes are functioning. This includes being synced to the appropriate devices as well as having adequate batteries. This is the number one complaint of guests and vacationers.
- 3. All light bulbs are functioning.
- 4. Beds are made crisply and have appropriate number of pillows.
- 5. That all shampoo, conditioner, and body wash stations are filled.
- 6. An extra toilet paper in each bathroom.
- 7. No trashes were missed.
- 8. Kitchen was cleaned and reset for guest use (paper towels, dish soap, new sponge, trash bags, washer pods),
- 9. Inspect the inside of fridge, freezer, microwave, and oven.
- 10. Look into silverware drawer and cabinets. Check for adequate cups, plates, eating utensils, and a host of items guests expect at a rental kitchen.
- 11. Make sure dinning table has a cover, and is set with placemats (if appropriate).
- 12. Inspect all bikes, ping pong tables, air hockey and foosball tables, and other outdoor recreational equipment for serviceability.
- 13. Re-organize board games section
- 14. Check fireplace for adequate wood supply and fire starting kit.
- 15. Check BBQ grill for serviceability and propane levels. Clean if necessary.
